This is the working agreement between you (a paying client of Church Office to Go) and us. By completing payment for a Church Office to Go subscription or à la carte service, you accept this agreement.
If you'd like to discuss anything before you proceed, just reply to your welcome email or contact office@churchofficetogo.com.
This agreement is between Church Office to Go LLC, an Iowa-based single-member LLC ("COTG," "we," "us," "our") and the church or organization purchasing services through churchofficetogo.com ("Client," "you," "your").
The agreement begins on the date of your first successful payment and continues until either party ends it according to the terms below.
The services you're receiving depend on the plan you've selected. Plans and pricing are described at churchofficetogo.com/pricing.
If you need anything beyond your current plan, contact us. We can scope and quote additional work.
For us to deliver well, you agree to:
If you don't submit content by the Wednesday deadline, we'll send a reminder Wednesday afternoon. If we don't have what we need by Thursday morning, we'll do our best with what's available, which may mean using last week's structure with placeholder content for missing items.
For weekly bulletin clients: bulletins are delivered by end of day Friday, Central Time, assuming we received your content by the Wednesday deadline.
If we miss the Friday delivery commitment for any reason within our control, your next week's bulletin is on us at no additional charge.
We can't guarantee delivery in cases beyond our control: internet outages, natural disasters, illness affecting our small team, or third-party service failures (Google, Stripe, etc.). When something happens that affects delivery, we'll communicate clearly and work to make it right.
Each weekly bulletin includes one round of revisions, submitted as a single request. A revision request must be sent by email by 12:00 PM Central Time on Friday of the delivery week. Requests received after that window will be applied to the following week's bulletin if applicable.
What qualifies as a revision: correcting an error we introduced (a name we misspelled that you spelled correctly in your submission, a section we accidentally omitted, a date we transposed). These are mistakes on our end that we'll fix promptly.
What does not qualify as a revision: errors that originated in your submitted content (your typos, your incorrect dates, your misspellings); design preferences (font changes, color changes, layout rearrangement); content additions or rewrites after submission; or requests to redesign the bulletin's visual style. Our deliverables reflect the content you submit and the professional design decisions our team makes for your church's brand.
Work beyond the included revision round, or requests that fall outside the scope above, may be billable as additional work. We'll always tell you before charging anything extra.
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. Your card is charged on the same day each month. Receipts are emailed automatically.
À la carte bulletins are billed at the time you purchase the bulletin. Payment is required before we begin work.
If a payment fails, Stripe will automatically retry over the following 14 days. You'll receive emails from Stripe asking you to update your card. If payment isn't successfully processed within that window, your service will pause until it is.
You can cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal or by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
You'll continue to receive service through the end of the period you've already paid for. You won't be charged again.
There's no cancellation fee, no minimum commitment, and no penalty for leaving.
Your bulletin content, prayer lists, donor information, internal announcements, and any other confidential material you share with us stays between you and our team. We won't share it with third parties unless you give explicit permission or we're legally required to.
If we ever want to use your church as a case study, testimonial, or example in our marketing, we'll ask first.
You own your church's content, brand, photos, and the final deliverables we create for you. The systems, templates, and processes we use to produce those deliverables remain ours.
You can use, modify, and share the bulletins and social posts we create for you in any way that serves your church. You can't resell our underlying systems or claim our processes as your own.
By submitting content to us (including photos, images, hymn texts, liturgical materials, and any other copyrighted works), you represent that you have the legal right to use and publish that content, or that it is in the public domain. We do not verify copyright status of materials you provide.
If a third party makes a claim against Church Office to Go based on content you submitted (for example, a copyright holder claims an image you provided was used without permission), you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any resulting costs, damages, or legal fees. In short: if you give it to us, you're responsible for having the right to use it.
We expect to be treated with professional respect, and we extend the same to you. We'll respond promptly, communicate honestly, and own our mistakes when we make them. We ask the same in return.
If a working relationship becomes hostile or abusive in either direction, either party may end the agreement immediately. In rare cases of severe breach (verbal abuse, harassment, refusal to pay), we reserve the right to terminate service without notice.
This is COTG's foundational principle: clergy and church leaders own their worship. We never suggest changes to the order of worship, theological emphasis, or liturgical content. We're here to handle communications, not to shape the service itself. Anything you submit through your planner is treated as final.
We do our work in good faith and aim for excellence. But we're a small operation, and our liability is limited.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from this agreement is capped at the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — lost donations, lost members, reputational harm, or other downstream effects of service issues.
This limitation doesn't apply to cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
We may update this agreement from time to time. Material changes (changes that affect your fees, the scope of services, or your rights) will be communicated to you by email at least 30 days before they take effect. You can decline the changes by canceling your subscription before they take effect.
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Iowa. Any dispute will be resolved through good-faith conversation first. If conversation doesn't resolve it, disputes will be settled in the state or federal courts located in Linn County, Iowa.
By completing your subscription payment through Stripe, or by paying for an à la carte bulletin, you indicate your acceptance of this agreement. The Stripe checkout page links to this document, and your payment confirms that you've read and agreed.
We log the date of your first payment and the version of this agreement that was active at that time. If we ever update this agreement, the version that applies to you is the one in effect when you started, unless and until you accept a newer version (typically by continuing your subscription past a notice of change).
If anything in this agreement is unclear, email office@churchofficetogo.com. We'd rather have a five-minute conversation than have you wonder.
