These are the terms that govern your use of churchofficetogo.com and any free services we provide (like the free first bulletin offer). Paying clients are also bound by the Service Agreement, which takes precedence where the two documents address the same subject.
By using churchofficetogo.com or any service we provide, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or our services.
Church Office to Go LLC ("we," "us," "our," or "COTG") is an Iowa-based limited liability company providing communications services to small Mainline Protestant churches.
We offer one free bulletin to qualifying prospective clients as a way to demonstrate our work. The offer is subject to these terms:
Our services are described on the pricing page and in any specific Service Agreement you sign. In summary, we provide:
The exact scope of services for paying clients is governed by the Service Agreement, which is signed (or accepted via Stripe checkout) at the start of each engagement.
For us to do our work, you agree to provide:
You retain ownership of your church's content, brand assets, photos, and any materials you provide to us. By using our services, you grant us a limited license to use those materials for the purpose of producing your bulletins, social media posts, and other communications.
We retain ownership of our underlying systems, templates, design frameworks, and software. Your bulletin's content is yours; the system that produced it is ours.
Output we create specifically for you (the formatted bulletin, the designed social posts) becomes yours upon delivery. You may use, modify, and distribute these outputs freely within your church.
Paying clients are billed monthly in advance via subscription, or per-bulletin for à la carte engagements. Specific payment terms are in the Service Agreement.
We accept payment by credit card or ACH through Stripe. Payment information is handled by Stripe; we don't see or store your full card number.
You can cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal or by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you won't be charged again, but you'll continue to receive service through the end of the period you've already paid for.
For à la carte clients, there's nothing to cancel — each bulletin is a one-time engagement.
Our refund policy is at churchofficetogo.com/refund.
We treat your church's content and information as confidential. We won't share your bulletin content, donor lists, prayer requests, or other internal communications with anyone outside our team unless you give explicit permission or we're legally required to.
We provide our services in good faith and to the best of our ability. However, we're a small business, and our total liability to you for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost revenue, lost donations, or reputational harm arising from delays, errors, or service interruptions.
This limitation does not apply to gross negligence or willful misconduct.
We aim for reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. Events outside our reasonable control (illness, internet outages, natural disasters, third-party service failures) may occasionally affect delivery. When this happens, we'll communicate clearly and work to make it right.
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be communicated by email to active clients before they take effect.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Linn County, Iowa.
